   Developed by the Zeon military and manufactured by Zeonic Company, the Zaku II F Type is a mass-produced version of the Zaku II series. For mass-production purpose, anti-nuclear equipment such as triple-layer composite armor and radiation shielding liquid featured on Zaku II C Type has been removed, resulting in a lighter and faster machine. As radars are rendered useless under Minovsky Particles interference, the Zakus, mobile suits designed for visual combat, achieved great success in their early campaigns against the Earth Federation Forces. Ace pilots in the Zeon Forces were allowed to have their mobile suits customized with color schemes and equipment that differed from standard units, resulting in many variations. For commander units, head-mounted communication antennas are common.
